As yet unnamed.

Deciding the name of a work of creation is a struggle that every creator deals with, and I am no exception. I've been thinking about this problem for a long time, but I haven't found a name that has sparked excitement in me.

For now, I'd rather not present my creations with my name attached, as I want to make something that means something personal to the person wearing it, where they could feel that the creation was a part of them.

I won't let not having the perfect name hold me back from starting.

Like the start of Soseki Natsume's novel "I am a cat".

Until the day when I can find the right name, My design platform will be called

‘As Yet Unnamed.’  

自分のクリエイションについて、なんと呼ぼう、ってことはクリエイターなら、誰もが考えたことがある、トピックだと思う。

わたしもその一人で、随分長い間考えているけれど、まだピンとくるもの出会えていない。

作るものが、使う人の日常に寄り添うものであって欲しい、それがその人の皮膚の様になって欲しいという思いがあるからか、自分の名前を冠に押し出すことも、今は違和感を感じる。

今感じていることに素直に、それまでは、名前がないなら、そのまま始めてみようと思う。

夏目漱石の ’我輩は猫である’ の文頭のような、

‘AS YET UNNAMED. ‘なまえはまだない。’

いつか、ピンとくるなまえが思い浮かぶ日まで、この身につけるものにまつわる、デザインプラットフォームをそう呼んで見ようと思う。
